I’ve been a fan of cartoons and superheroes for as long as I can remember—all the way back to the original “Space Ghost” cartoon in the ‘60s. Anybody else remember “Frankenstein, Jr.” and “The Herculoids”?

Anyway, Josh Keaton is the voice of Disney XD’s “Spectacular Spider-Man, now in its second season and airing every Monday at 7:30 p.m. So of course I wanted him as a guest on Mr. Media.

In this latest cartoon incarnation of everyone’s favorite web-slinger, Keaton plays the teen-age Spidey. He’s still encountering and wisecracking with super-villains such as Doc Ock and Sandman, getting abused in high school by Flash Thompson and losing sleep over girls such as Betty Brant. And he still lives at home with dear old Aunt May.

For Keaton, who just turned 30, this isn’t even the role for which most people will recognize him. That would probably be “Hercules,” the Disney movie in which he played the God as a teen.
