Just a note: In Will Eisner: A Spirited Life, Cat Yronwode said that Eisner’s original art for PS was destroyed by the Army rather than storing it. Perhaps Paul Fitzgerald, who wrote the book Will Eisner & P.S. Magazine could weigh in here on whether this is the real thing and how it might have survived when so little else did. Paul?

Personally, I don’t think this looks like Will’s work at all, but I’m a biographer, not an art expert! — Bob Andelman

WILL EISNER blbcomics writes: Here we have Will Eisner’s detailed pencils

for a two page Joe’s Dope
centerfold story from P.S. mag #223.
My long time friend Cat Yronwode,
Eisner expert extrodinaire,
informs me this is ALL Eisner,
including the lettering.
She also informs me Eisner drew himself
in the story in the first first large splash panel.
Eisner detailed pencil story pages
are very rare out in the marketplace.
At least I cannot find any out there.
