Will Eisner and PS Magazine, Paul Fitzgerald

This BlogPost 33 in our year-long salute to the first 60 years of the U.S. Army’s sequential art jewel, PS Magazine, discusses and presents a video clip of Joe Kubert’s greatly appreciated presentation at the Sixtieth Anniversary last June 27 at Redstone Arsenal. Joe was one of four featured speakers at that impressive ceremony. Joe, the head of the Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art, has been the PS creative artist and pre-press services contractor since PS 579 in February of 2001, and recently celebrated his eleventh year with the program.

Joe has remarked that the warm welcome at the Sixtieth Anniversary Celebration “just blew me away!”

“If the guys who took Basic with me at Ft. Dix [in 1950, during the Korean War] could seem me now,” he said, regarding sharing the stage with a three-star general and a bird colonel.
